VLP 10th Anniversary Celebration

Thanks to all who celebrated a decade of community commitment at the VLP’s 10th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, June 4th.  Hundreds of neighbors and friends joined us for an evening of music, food, drink and fellowship in our library and garden as we celebrated ten years of the VLP’s free, community-oriented programs and services.

4:30-5:30 pm: LINK Awards Ceremony
June 4 was the last day of our LINK (Let’s Invest in Neighborhood Kids) After School program for this school year and we invited parents and members of the community to join us as we recognized our students’ achievements.

5:30 pm: Music, Food and Merriment!
To kick off our block party, singer Lisa Mathews and guitarist Mikel Gehl from Milkshake performed their rock music for kids. We also had Andy Nelson’s Barbecue, wine and beer, and kids’ activities.

6:30 pm: VLP Remarks

7:00 pm: More Music, Food and Merriment!
Caleb Stine performed awesome Americana Folk Music.
