2nd Wednesdays at the VLP

2nd Wednesdays at the VLP is a series of free lectures, concerts, and special arts events.

Adult Education

The Village Learning Place offers free Adult Education classes every Monday 5:30-7pm, in the downstairs computer lab.

Baltimore History Evenings

Baltimore History Evenings, presented in partnership with the Baltimore City Historical Society, is a monthly series of presentations and discussions on Baltimore which runs every 3rd Thursday from January to June.

Grace Darin Memorial Lecture Series

The Grace Darin Lecture Series celebrates the life and work of Grace Darin, a great journalist and Charles Villager.

LINK After School

LINK After School provides free, high quality after-school programming for Baltimore students.

LINK Summer

LINK Summer is a free six-week academic and enrichment program for K-6th grade students.

Mother Goose on the Loose

Mother Goose on the Loose is an interactive story time for young children from birth to 36 months.

Pre-GED Class

A class for anyone who would like to build the skills required to successfully pass the GED test.

Read Between the Wines

Read Between the Wines is the Village Learning Place’s extraordinary annual fundraising event. Held each October in our beautifully renovated historic library and garden, this gala event brings together great food, live music, silent and live auctions, and a fantastic atmosphere of community.

School’s Out Camps

School’s Out Fun Days are designed to be safe and creative play days. The Village Learning Place offers School’s Out Fun Days to provide a childcare option for families on Baltimore City Public School PD and ½ days. Schools Out Fun Days will include snacks, games, crafts, and physical fitness. Students should pack a lunch. Registration is required.

Senior Tea

Senior Tea is a free monthly lecture series and social tea especially for seniors held on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:00 am.

Spaghetti Disco

Spaghetti Disco is our favorite wacky neighborhood tradition and benefits the VLP. This amazing party brings together delicious food, kids’ crafts and games, and great neighbors on a sizzling dance floor.

Tots Tuesdays

Tots Tuesdays is an interactive storytime for toddlers and their parents/caregivers.
