2013 SPDXV

It’s time to work up an appetite while practicing your dance moves. This year is the fifteenth annual Spaghetti Disco! We will be dining and dancing at St. John’s Church on February 23, 2013. Dinner is 5:30-8; dancing is 8-11. Click here to purchase advance tickets and save yourself a plate of spaghetti and meatballs and a spot on the hottest dance floor around!

The annual Spaghetti Disco supports  our community, the Village Learning Place, and unique and exciting initiatives- like this year’s favorite: Little Free Libraries!  The Spaghetti Disco was originally dreamed up by ingenious neighborhood residents (who still run the Disco kitchen and get down on the dance floor) as a way to raise money for playgrounds in Charles Village. In 2004, with neighborhood greenspaces thriving, no one wanted to see the Disco die, so it went looking for a worthy cause to support. If you aren’t able to join us on the 23rd and you’d still like to support our Little Free Libraries initiative- fear not! Visit our GiveCorps page to find out how.

That’s when the Disco and the VLP got together, and it has been a simply sizzling relationship ever since. Not too many parties combine meatballs with literacy, the Bee-Gees and the ABCs like this one does.

Want to get involved? Contact Lindsey to learn about volunteer opportunities at the disco!

The VLP’s mission is to promote literacy, cultural awareness, and lifelong learning. Every program and service we offer is free all year round, and that’s why your support of the Disco is so important.

Purchase Spaghetti Disco VX tickets here. Coming to Read Between the Wines as well? Consider bundling your tickets!
