LINK After School 2016 – 2017

September 19th – May 26th

 Monday – Friday, 2:25-5:30pm

LINK After School serves 100 Pre-Kindergarten to 6th Grade students every day, Monday-Friday. The program provides students with free, challenging, dynamic programming and nutritious snacks and supper every weekday throughout the school year. The academic focus of the LINK programs is on reading and mathematics, with quality instruction and research-based curricula. The enrichment component of LINK After School includes STEM, art, computer lessons, character education and physical activities. Field trips to cultural sites, performances, and outdoor spaces broaden students’ perspectives.

Additionally, LINK students who are identified as reading well below grade level receive special one-on-one sessions as part of our Reading Intervention program. Students work on fluency, reading comprehension, and orthographic development. This new effort is crucial in helping our struggling readers to achieve and maintain grade-level reading proficiency.

Students may begin pre-registering for the LINK After School program starting on the 1st day of school, Monday, August 29th.
