The Summer Reading Club is a daily reading incentive program that rewards youth for reading during the summer. This literacy-focused program encourages children to read independently and with their families and helps to reduce summer learning loss. This program is offered in partnership with the Enoch Pratt Free Library.
Sign up at the Village Learning Place (2521 Saint Paul Street), and feel free to enjoy any or all of the following activities:
- Visit the library and let your child pick a book. We’ve added a ton of great, new books to our already-outstanding collection!
- Attend a program at the library. Tots Tuesday, for instance, is coming up on July 19th!
- Read a book, work a puzzle, or listen to one of our great new audio books, using our brand new Listening Station!
- Color a picture or any art activity.
- Show your child how to turn pages.
- Have an older child read to your little one.
- Share a story with a friend (real, stuffed, or imaginary).
