Village Learning Place, Mosaic Community Services partnering to offer free mental health first aid training for the public.

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to determine, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. This 8-hour training provides the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. The course is 8 hours and will be split into two 4-hour sessions.

This training covers:

  • Common signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance abuse
  • How to interact with a person in crisis
  • How to connect the person with help
  • Now to administer naloxone in the event of an opioid overdose

Free Training by Mosaic Community Services for Residents or Service Providers within Central Baltimore.
