COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Safety at the Village Learning Place

Posted on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 by Melissa Howison

The Village Learning Place is monitoring news about COVID-19 (coronavirus) and taking measures to prevent spreading the virus. Staff have been instructed to stay home if they’re feeling sick, staff in the office are encouraged to wash their hands frequently and limit personal contact, surfaces in the library and classrooms are being disinfected multiple times each day, and all library spaces, classrooms, and offices are cleaned nightly by a professional service.

The library is currently open during regular hours, and programs and events will continue uninterrupted until further notice. LINK After School will follow the Baltimore City Public Schools’ closing procedures. The VLP will base other program cancellations on information in public health advisories as they are released. Please continue to check our website for updates.

We will remain committed to your health and ask that you join us in prioritizing the health and safety of yourself and others when in public. To learn more about COVID-19 and how to best respond, visit the Centers for Disease Control’s website.
