We Stand In Solidarity

The Village Learning Place is deeply saddened and angered by recent acts of anti-Black violence that have traumatized communities across the country, stemming from a long, troubling history of systemic racism. We mourn the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and so many others. Black lives matter and we stand in solidarity with those working to advance equity, advocate for reform, and seek justice and accountability. We believe in a more equitable Baltimore. As a library and community center, we are committed to listening, learning, and actively moving forward this work – and there is much work to be done. We share these resources in the spirit of deepening our collective awareness and ability to fight against racism and for equity. We hope you will add your own resources and ideas for action.
