Baltimore History Evenings | Cherry Hill: Raising Successful Black Children in Jim Crow Baltimore

March 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Cherry Hill: Raising Successful Black Children in Jim Crow Baltimore

Presented by Linda G. Morris, with John H. Morris and Sidney Rauls Ellis

Like many families, the Morris children and their friends spent formative years in Cherry Hill and went on to successful careers. Linda’s work draws on happy memories, but also solid research about this once-idyllic community in segregated Baltimore.

Baltimore History Evenings is a monthly series of presentations and discussions held on the third Thursday of every month from January to June. All events are free and open to the public. Baltimore History Evenings are made available through a partnership between the Village Learning Place and the Baltimore City Historical Society.
