LINK After School

LINK (Let’s Invest in Neighborhood Kids) is an initiative offering programs and services to strengthen our entire community.

LINK After School 2019–2020

September 30th – May 22nd

 Monday — Friday, 2:25–5:30pm

LINK After School serves Pre-Kindergarten to 6th Grade students every day, Monday-Friday. The program provides students with free, challenging, dynamic programming and nutritious snacks and supper every weekday throughout the school year. The academic focus of the LINK programs is on reading, science, and mathematics, with quality instruction and research-based curricula. The enrichment component of LINK After School includes engineering, art, computer lessons, character education and physical activities.

Students may begin pre-registering for the LINK After School program starting on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 3, at Noon. The VLP has a staggered registration schedule for priority and returning LINK students. LINK families will be mailed a postcard later in August identifying their pre-registration status for Priority or Returning Student.


Pre-registration dates for Fall 2019:
• September 3, Noon – Pre-registration for priority students
• September 5, Noon – Pre-registration opens for all returning LINK students
• September 11, Noon – Pre-registration open to all

Postcards will be mailed to priority and returning LINK students with the url for the online pre-registration form.

As a new student, you are welcome to pre-register starting at noon on September 11thin the Village Learning Place library or by using this link:  https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/emf/VLP/Open19-20. 

After pre-registration, families must attend a mandatory Family Orientation to complete the LINK application process. Two orientation sessions will be offered and a parent/guardian must attend 1 of the 2 to complete the registration process. Please make sure you are able to attend and participate in orientation for the entire time.
