LINK Leaders School Year

Leaders Selling Event

LINK Leaders School Year

LINK (Let’s Invest in Neighborhood Kids) is an initiative offering programs and services to strengthen our entire community.

LINK Leaders serves 7th to 12th-grade students every day school is in session, Monday-Friday, from 2:30-5:30 pm. LINK Leaders will support learning while guiding middle and high school students to graduation and into college, technical training, and/or the workforce. Through our “Leaders Open Doors” curriculum, students will be encouraged to seek out new experiences and opportunities. In addition, LINK Leaders aims to provide students access to dynamic learning and networking opportunities. The LINK Leaders program focuses on character-building and leadership training through hands-on education, workshops, and partnerships with community leaders. Community service will be emphasized within the college and career-readiness curriculum.

The LINK Leaders program schedule differs from our PreK-6th programming in that it is less structured and daily attendance is not required. Instead, students can plan to come daily or drop-in occasionally as their schedule allows. All enrolled students are eligible to accompany the group on field trips, college visits, or participate in any of the offered workshops and enrichments that are available throughout the year.

The LINK Leaders schedule is Mondays through Fridays from 2:30 pm until 5:30 pm. Each day will start with a self-guided period for study and transition time from 2:30-3:30 pm. Structured programming will take place from 3:30-5 pm each day featuring a variety of activities including enrichment workshops, college & career exploration, leadership development, and service learning. Dinner is served beginning at 5:00 pm.
