LINK Summer at The Village Learning Place offers a dynamic and enriching experience for students from Pre-K to 6th grade. This six-week program blends educational lessons with fun enrichment activities, weekly field trips, and plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided to ensure our students have the energy to make the most of their summer.
Empowerment through education.
Preventing the Summer Slide
At LINK Summer, we focus on reinforcing the skills students developed during the school year, with an emphasis on literacy, math, and science. Our dedicated teachers and classroom assistants work closely with students to keep them on track academically, preventing the “summer slide.” In addition, we incorporate character education into our lessons, teaching students important life skills like relationship-building, empathy, and community involvement.
Explore New Skills and Interests
Students at LINK Summer have the chance to engage in a variety of enrichment classes that spark creativity and curiosity. From sculpture and visual art to cooking and gardening, each day offers something new. Whether it’s practicing mindfulness, dancing, or diving into the world of technology, students will expand their horizons in a fun, supportive environment that encourages personal growth and discovery.
Learning
beyond the classroom.
Learning happens everywhere, not just in the classroom. Our students enjoy weekly field trips to exciting destinations like the zoo, aquarium, and local museums, where they can explore the world around them. In addition, students will take part in community walks, garden activities, and outdoor learning sessions in our historic library, making every day an adventure.
Celebrate community at a family event.
We love bringing families into the fold of our summer experience. Join us for Family Fun Night on Thursday, July 18th, to see firsthand what your student has been up to! Our End of Summer Celebration on Thursday, August 8th is another opportunity to celebrate your child’s learning and growth over the summer.
